closer together interests of all stakeholders with its holistic
approach. The goal is to create an environment that will
make the fulfillment of shareholders’ goals seem natural and
regenerating while guaranteeing sustainability. The idea
serving as a cohesive force between managers and
employees is learning as a natural human need directed at
developing potentials and achieving personal welfare but
also corporate commitment and means to ensure survival in
the knowledge economy. The goal of this paper is to
contribute to the understanding of the learning organization's
characteristics with the purpose to offer a critical view on
potentials and implications of the implementation of this
concept. Even though various inconsistencies regarding the

is required to alter the way companies and the environment
are viewed, which regardless of the identified shortcomings
