The analysis of the current engagement provides a cross-section of the effectiveness of ship protection and the fight against piracy. By systematic analysis it has been come to the conclusion that this kind of protection is effective in providing current protection by deterring but at the same time can not be considered as a long-term solution to the fight against piracy.
