Abstract

The author reflects on the results of research of P. Vrankić about the activities of the Catholic and Orthodox Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Austro-Hungarian period (1848-1918). He claimed that Vrankić ' s book is especially important for the modem historiography, as it reveals on the most important causes of recent war events on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and challenges many tendentious claims related to this.
