Abstract

Twospotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae (Koch) is one of the most common mites that every year causes minor or worse damage to the growing species of fruitful vegetables in protected areas. In recent years in hothouses and greenhouses in the area of southern Herzegovina in the short time period this pest has caused great damage to eggplant, cucumber and tomato, while on pepper damage is generally less pronounced. The suppression in protected area consists of a series of preventive non-pesticide measures which, combined with the timely application of chemical preparation at the beginning of the infection, provide uninterrupted production of fruitful vegetables.
