X-Ray Diffraction Analysis of Dried Agl Prepared by Isoelectric Coagulation

Abstract

AgI is prepared by isoelectric c oagul ation . The rapidity of
precipitation is 10 a nd 1000 minutes respec t ively. Prior t o wash-ing
the isoelectric A gI precipitate is aged for 10 or 1000 minutes in
isoele ctric superna tant liquor. By washing spherical AgI aggregates
are formed the size of which is 1-3 mm. AgI is then dri e d. A part
of dried iso e l ectric AgI is c rus h ed. The crushed a n d not crushed AgI
is se parately si eved passing through silver sieves (30-60 mesh).
Sieved A gI is anal ysed u sin g the Phi lips X -Ray diffractometer.
