Abstract

This paper describes a simple and practical
method for determination of the vector group of a
three phase transformers i.e. phase shift between
primary and secondary windings. The described
method was used as part of laboratory exercises
and verified with oscilloscope. After introductory
theoretical review, measurements and graphical
representation of vector group determination
for the randomly chosen group of connection is
shown. Also described in detail are steps where
only with use of a voltmeter vector group can be
determined.
