Abstract

This paper evaluates the quality of the administrative law rules in the Republic of Croatia by focusing on the mechanisms for their improvement. Frequent insufficiencies of the legal regulation are analysed on the example of the law regulates public authorities’ acting and the laws which regulate special administrative areas significant to the economy and life of the citizens. The mechanisms that are actually
taking in Croatia to the purpose of the drafting better regulations are analysed. After that, the paper directs to the other methods necessary to reach that goal. It especially puts emphasis on the special knowledge, skills and competences that redactors should possess, as well as actions necessary to be taken in the process of drafting and adopting laws and other regulations.
