Abstract

The article is dedicated to the tasks and the perspectives of the theology of hope in respect to the challenges of a globalized world, based on reflections of two representatives of the theology of hope: Jürgen Moltmann and Johann Batpist Metz. They reflect on the globalisation from a perspective of a sign of times, stressing the human responsibility in directing the globalisation towards human goals. The theology of hope is extended in a program of a political theology, aiming to bond identity and importance, and therefore developing the Christian hope into a proactive and achieving factor in the society.
