Abstract

Questions about the organization of administrative courts and the issue of reform of the organization and jurisdiction of administrative courts have an important place in the discussion about the rationalization of the system of judicial review of the administration’s work, which is a mechanism ensuring its lawful functioning. The paper analyzes the foundations, arrangements and reforms of judicial review in several relevant systems: France, Germany, Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. The aim of this paper is to find solutions that could improve the Croatian system which, in spite of thorough reforms whose effects have been in force for only a few years, already shows some deficiencies and leaves room for certain legislative interventions.
