Abstract

The main aim of the research was to determine the differences between physical education students and students of other faculties in isometric force on the basis of 9 variables of isometric force, as well as to obtain the information about the discriminative power of variables. Therefore 9 isometric force tests were applied on each of two groups of 102 male subjects.
The results of discriminative analysis showed that the two groups were significantly different in the applied measures. The correlations between isometric variables and the discriminative function show that plantar right and left foot flexion and trunk extension participate a great deal in group discrimination. The smallest share in discrimination belongs to the right lower arm extension.
