Abstract

In this paper, the author deals with current theoretical issues of international legal personality. The author analyzes the most important understandings and concepts in the theory of international law, which have an impact on the contemporary international legal trends.
International law is changed, the international legal order, with all the problems is intensively developing which directly affects the changes in terms of defining the subjects of international law today. The international legal relations are extremely complex and today, there are more different – specific holders of rights and obligations in these relationships. Entities (organisms, personalities) participating in international legal relations are increasingly differ (from one another) in terms of status, scope of subjectivity, general and specific legitimation, specific capacities, etc.. The theory of international law today is facing major problems regarding the definition of subjects of international law, which is one of the main issues discussed in this paper.
