Abstract

In most cases, the design of the central hydronic heating system in buildings is done by dimensioning system components according to the design external conditions when the heat demand is greatest. By designing the heating system in this way, only the design operating state of the system is defined, while the operating states of the system under partial load are rarely analyzed in practice, especially hydraulic part of the system and its hydraulic balance. The methodology of numerical analysis of the hydraulic system by the Hardy Cross method, which can calculate the key parameters of the hydraulic system in any operating state, is presented here. The results of the numerical calculation are shown for a simple unbalanced central heating system, and water flows, system operating points for different modes of pump regulation, pump power consumption can be seen. The simulation results can especially help in planning of hydraulic balancing of the system and presetting the balancing valves.
