Abstract

To simplify the supply chain management, we have developed a new solution for goods management using smartphone devices (hereinafter referred to as DMR). The primary goal of our project is to create a new software solution that will simplify the records process in retail stores. The DMR consists of several parts. The basic module is used for inventory process in stores, thereby speeding quantity registration. We have further expanded the inventory module with the functionality of goods details review. To manage items which have not yet reached the retail shelves, a separate component has been developed for the inventory and management in the warehouse. These modules cover the complete lifecycle of the goods. Subsequently was developed an additional component for wholesale customers. All of the above parts of DMR are installed and used on smartphones. To interconnect all components of the DMR system, as well as connect to the client’s applications, we have developed an associated central solution. This central server is located in the cloud. It is used for the integration of all modules and as a link to the client’s databases. Additionally, it is used as a reporting tool.
