Abstract

For a successful pesticide application, it is necessary to evenly distribute the active ingredient to the target object – cultivated plants or harmful organisms, and sometimes soil. Concurrently, it is important to avoid pesticide drift. To achieve this, it is necessary to optimize water rate, droplets size and spray pattern. Pesticide application must be adapted to the plant species and its phenophases, and to species and growing stage of harmful organism. This paper briefly displays criteria for choosing nozzles, their characteristics and labelling.

Keywords

water rate; capacity; nozzle coning; spray pattern; droplet size; pesticide drift
