Desalinizacija arheoloških željeznih predmeta alkalno-sulfitnim postupkom

Abstract

The article describes the process of desalination of archaeologi­cal iron objects by an alkaline-sulphite treatment. This treatment removes the soluble chlorides that have accumulated in the iron objects during burial. The process of determining the concentra­tion of chlorides by potentiometric titration is also described.
