YELLOW SPIDER MITE (Eotetranychus carpini f.vitis (Oudemans)) – ECONOMIC PEST OF VINEYARDS IN ISTRIA

Abstract

The yellow spider mite (Eotetranychus carpini f. vitis (Oudemans)) is an economically important pest of Southeast European grapevines. Significant damage from E. carpini was observed in the vineyards of Istria in 2018 and 2019. Yellow spider mite was injurious on the red varieties Teran and Refošk with red petiole ("Refosco dal peduncolo rosso"). This article gives description of E. carpini f. vitis, its biology, damage and management on grapevine in Croatia.
