Abstract

The paper interprets and reassesses the oeuvre of Ivo Marčelja (Marčelji,
Kastav, 1886 – Zagreb, 1965), the first Istrian modern architect and much
sought-after architectural designer in Zagreb during the interwar period, as well as his mainly unnoticed, but distinct architectural expression.
