Abstract

Throughout the history, libraries have met a great number of different challenges and they have successfully adapted to them. One of the challenges of modern times is the implementation of the STEM project in libraries. The term STEM comes from English language and is an acronym of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. In implementing STEM, bouth teachers and librarians often use Lego bricks because they are interesting to children and they learn when they play with them. The libraries in United States have gained their place in implementation of STEM project, so this paper presents the programs they are carrying out – Lego bricks building workshop, programming, roboticks, etc. Also, Vukovar Public Library, Branch Borovo Naselje organized Lego bricks building workshop last summer of wich this paper is about.
