Abstract

The purpose of this research study is the survey of employees and their satisfaction/ dissatisfaction with the library, organizational culture and internal communication of the National and University Library in Zagreb (hereinafter NSK), and forms part of a complex research project of all segments of NSK (employees, customers and the general public).
This is the first comprehensive and detailed survey of all segments of library users (employees, customers, the general public) in Croatia and we hope it will encourage other libraries in Croatia on such surveys.
The work brings the results of this complex research, and to those relating to the depth interviews conducted with employees of NSK. A tottal of five in-depth interviews carried out during the period from 20.10.2011. to 25.10.2011. in the premises of the National and University Library in Zagreb and lasted an average of 1 hour.
Survey evaluating library services from the perspective of NSK employees was conducted as a form of cooperation between the Institute of Business Economics and Trade, portal www.istraživanje.hr and National and University Library.
