Abstract

This paper presents findings of the research of organizational culture at the City and University Library in Osijek. The awareness of type of the present organizational culture is crucial for all those who plan the introduction of changes in the activities of a certain organization. Namely, whether those changes will succeed or fail depends on whether the organizational culture was changed before the changes were introduced.
During the research the “Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument” (OCAI) was used. This is the questionnaire that asks the respondents to agree with a number of statements divided into six thematic groups. The research showed that clan culture prevails at the City and University Library in Osijek.
