Ligament Injuries of the knee in sport

Abstract
By analysing the causes of injuries statistically, ti can be observed that the number o injuries of the knee ligament is increasing. This number of injuries, if compared to the ankle injuries, is recently approaching their number. In some cases, that is in some sport activities it even surpasses it. Owing to that fact, an ever greater care is paid to the ligament injuries of the knee. The present paper analyses the causes of the knee injuries and gives their classification and detailed analyses of the symptoms thatt appear in connection with the ligament injury, as the was of diagnosing them. As regards therapy, the therapy of only the first two grades of injuries is elaborated, because they are included into the conservative therapy and the highest number of these injuries belong to these two categories. The third grade of the complete rupture of one or more knee ligaments, is the domain of surgical therapy.
