Abstract

The paper analyses the experiences and developments in the creation of military topographic and cartographic digital systems and maps of Slovenia, Serbia and Monte Negro, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Italy, Austria and Slovakia. The experiences of other states in creating military topographic and cartographic systems and maps can be compared with the Croatian achievements. The procedures of producing and updating military topographic maps are computer-aided along with a certain degree of automation in individual phases of their production and/or updating.
