Abstract

The value of any research of latent dimensions which are responsible for variability and covariability of certain number of measurements, depends a great deal on validity of the model for the measurement selection. Therefore this research is concieved in such a way as to ascertain the congruence between the logical position of anthropological measurements on hypothetical factors and their real poistion on isolated morphological dimensions.
For that purpose 23 anthropometrical measures were assessed on the sample of 737 male subjects. For factorizing the variables iterative multigroup method was used, where the hypothetical position of measures on hypothetical factors served as the initial matrix.
The results have shown that hypothetical and achieved positions of anthropometrical measurements on morphological dimensions differ too much to allow the considerations of applied measures completely useful for identification of hypothetical morphological factors. This cause of this phenomenon is, probably, the complexity of range greater than unity of some of the anthropometrical measurements.
