Abstract

This paper investigates the efficiency of the 6-month athletics treatment within physical education classes in primary school first form male pupils in influencing the transformation of morphological and motor characteristics of students. The analysis of changes, conducted by means of SSDIF algorithm (14 morphological measures and 12 motor tests), has shown significant quantitative differences between 39 pupils from the experimental group and 130 pupils from the control group in the following morphological measures: leg length and knee diameter, as well as in motor tests for the assessment of flexibility, aerobic endurance, static strength and sprinting. These changes are probably the consequence of quantitative adaptation, and they are expressed through 10 factors of change.
