Abstract

This research has been conducted in order to establish the differences in some general and situation-related motor abilities (9 tests) between students who have trained handball systematically and those who have participated in classical Physical education classes. The research comprised 160 students who have been divided into two subgroups - one of 80 handball players and the other of 80 examinees who did not play handball. The results of the discriminant analysis show that there are significant statistical differences in all analyzed tests between those students who played handball (achieving. better results) and those who did not.
