Abstract

An investigation into the efficiency of combined stationary manure removal system was carried out on a dairy farm in Ostri Vrh near Staro Petrovo Selo. The system consists of two delta scrapers, reversible bar scraper and hidraulic press-flap. During the investigation there were 60 Holstein Friesian cows in the stalls, which produced on average 1944.5 kg of manure daily. The five manure removal cycles per day were carried out with average efficiency of 97.8%. Total time of one manure removal cycle was on average 29.7 minutes, which was 2.48 minutes per cow daily. Energy requirement per one manure removal cycle was 2.15 kWh, of which 89.8% was required for reversible bar scraper with hydaulic press-flap, and only 10.2% for delta scrapers.
