Abstract

Due to the frequent occurrence of stressful conditions in agricultural production, the use of biostimulants has become a regular technology solution against stress. The proper and frequently use of biostimulants reduces the negative effects of many stressful conditions, such as low or high temperature, lack of moisture in soil and other stressful conditions. Nowdays, amino acid-based biostimulants are the most widely used due to proven positive effect on the plant, low doses of application, and a reasonable price for the farmers. The amount and composition of the amino acids in the product must be taken like important factor for bisostimulants use in order to achieve the best effect on application. There are many products on the market today and the choice can be adapted to all types of agricultural production; from cheap production in open arable crops until to intensive production of vegetables and flowers in protected greenhouses.
