Abstract

The rock mass discontinuity, being one of the basic structure fabric characteristics, has been elaborated with mathematical and graphical method of analysing by means of computer. Mathematical and algorithmal model has been made for determination of optimum position of excavation front in relation to rock mass stability and structure fabric. The method gives the basic elements which are important for rock slope design, especially for deep and direction of excavation slopes in a hard fractured rocks. The model has been tested on a large number of field data and it has proved to be satisfactory.
