COMPRESSIBILITY PARAMETERS OF SEMIPERVIOUS CONFINING LAYERS OVER- AND/OR UNDERLAIN BY AN AQUIFER

Abstract

The paper deals with the importance of a reliable interpretation of oedometer curve in order to determine the values of compressibility parameters of semipervious confining layers over- and/or underlain by an aquifer. The illustration of the procedure described is given in an example based on real soil data.
