Abstract

All that is living has its typical behaviour (from behave, Croatian
ponašanje, vladanje), namely a peculiar manner of being and acting.
The science of behavior is ethology. Human ethology has two principal
causes and motivations of conduct – biological and psychological
one. Biological or genetic are shared with other living beings, and
psychological one is properly human. In addition to sensitive and
emotive our behavior is rationally motivated and does depend also
on human purposes, character, education and environment. It is a
fruit of interaction of nature and nurture. Among other ethological
theories behaviourism too is compelled to confess this truth.

Keywords

behaviour; ethology factors; motivation; typology; abnormality; therapy; behaviourism
