Abstract

The most important factors in forming musical taste are school, family, friends and mass media. In this article we have investigated musical preferences of the pupils in the 4th and 8th grade of elementary school, and concluded that they have no negative attitude toward classical music, especially those pupils in the 4th grade. In addition, younger pupils are more open to unfamiliar music. That is a very important perception if we have in mind the
fact that attitudes are formed in early childhood, which is the period of gaining the first musical experiences, which can't be developed at some later stages in a spontaneous and intensive manner.
