THE INTERNET AND THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE AT AN ENGINEERING COLLEGE

Abstract

The article discusses the influence of the Internet on students' attitudes towards English as a non-technical course at an engineering college. Two issues are addressed: a) has the dominance of English on the Internet raised students' awareness of the need of learning
English throughout their undergraduate studies, and b) do the current forms and the content of the English language course help them in the use of the Internet.
