Abstract

The authors will present their current and future work on the research project Investigating reader's interests and information needs of children and adolescents. The project is conducted at the Faculty of Philosophy in Osijek, it is sponsored by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, and it includes researchers from other institutions.
The paper has three parts. First there is an overview of related research in the world, highlighting the experiences relevant for Croatia. The second part is an overview of previous research on the behaviour of children and adolescents in Croatia. Results of
completed research tasks are presented in part three. The research results provide directions for future work.
