Abstract
Students of the Electrical Engineering Department, Zagreb University of Applied Science, through their diploma theses and collaborative seminars, in the course Intelligent Systems had the task the use the Promethee method without prior theoretical knowledge. By solving their problem by ranking from a set of offered multi-criteria alternatives, they concluded on the basis of parameters that are not completely unambiguous and thus participated in the research of the introduction of new teaching content. The success of solved tasks was evaluated on the basis of: 1) speed of finding and downloading necessary platforms and tools and functionality and intuitiveness of the interface, 2) satisfaction with software application and obtained visualization of multicriteria analysis, 3) level of constructive debate after presentation, 4) impression of applicability in future work and life and 5) assessing the inventiveness and effectiveness of the leading learning method. The study involved 87 students engaged in 8 seminar teams and 4 graduates. Since the teaching content of the course is updated for each new academic year, taking into account the results of the research, the Promethee method is already included for the upcoming one.
