Abstract

In this work development process for Internet of things development platform is presented alongside the idea behind the development board based on ESP32 microcontroller. Common microcontroller practical application requirements are listed. These requirements had influence on the selection of sensors, actuators and electronic components used for the final version of the development board. These components are affordable, simple to use and their functionalities are well documented. They use various communication protocols in order to communicate with microcontroller. Different versions of the development boards alongside the 3D model of the final version generated in KiCad electronic design automation software are shown. The price of one complete board when performing larger series is stated.
