Fulfilling a 50-year-old dream – connecting the Gospodska Cave and Veliko vrilo

Abstract
The aim of the exploration of the dry parts of the Gospodska cave in 2021. was to pass and „close“ the questionnaires marked on the topographic plan from 2014. Since this speleological object has fascinated the cave diving community for years, the cave divers organized by DIK Freatik have joined the research. Their main goal was to connect Gospodska cave with Veliko vrilo (Milaševo vrelo, Vrelo Cetina, Glavaš spring), because for many years there were indications that these two objects are connected, and this goal was achieved in this camp. With this new length, the system ranks 12th in Croatia and has a total length of 4827 meters and a depth of 156 meters.
