Abstract

Chronic kidney disease represents a major health issue. The incidence is 12,1 per million children worldwide. The most frequent causes in the pediatric population are: CAKUT (obstructive uropathy, reflux nephropathy). If the diagnosis is made early, adequate treatment and therapy could prolongate the need for renal replacement therapy.
