Abstract
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of publishing the Journal of the Polytechnic of Rijeka, this paper brings the bibliography of its first nine editions. The bibliography includes all papers according to the chronology when they were posted together with an author and subject index. This systematization makes analysis possible, therefore in the second part of the paper, the Journal has been analysed according to some basic bibliometric indicators, keeping in mind several factors which connect the published papers (the share and the number of scientific and professional papers in the whole corpus, the share of authors of the main institution and the authors outside of the institution, the share of papers written in coauthorship with a student, papers written in English or Croatian and so forth). The bibliography includes 192 categorized articles, written by 308 authors, published within a nine year period; since 2013, when the Journal started being published, until 2021, when volume 9 was published. The analysis of the articles has shown that out of the total number of published papers, the majority are scientific papers (75%), among which the most numerable ones are categorized as original scientific papers (29%). Most of the papers come from the field of social sciences (71%). The biggest number of papers were written in coauthorship consisting of three coauthors (56%); the authors come from associate institutions (47% of the papers), from the Polytechnic in Rijeka (37%) or from those who cooperate with the Polytechnic (15%). The largest amount of papers consists of papers written in Croatian language (69%), but recently the number of papers in English has been increasing, which indicates that the initial extremely regional orientation of the Journal is growing into a wider, global one. The intention of the author is to contribute, with the conclusions, to the spirit
celebrating the journal’s ten year anniversary, while the new insights, by their transparency of such an analysis, could encourage new research, linked with the frequency of constant professional and scientific research which are being thematized by the papers, analysis of the Journal based on the data extracted from the bibliographic database, the range of indexes of the articles, the number of references in total and the average number of references by author, etc.
