Phytoceonological research in II-E-11 type forests on the part of Slavonsko gorje

Abstract

During the period 2002-2004 phytocoenological researches were carried out in the forests
of Krndija, Dilj and Papuk which in the previous mapping of employees of the Forest
Research Institute, Jastrebarsko and U[P Po`ega were included in ecological-management
type II-E-11. Numerical analysis (cluster and multidimensional scaling) showed that the
releves group together in rather homogenous groups - of different forest communities. The
object of the investigations was to find floristic parameters which would enable more precise
differentiation and easier field exclusion of the above type from other types of forests. It
is proposed that association Festuco drymeiae-Carpinetum betuli Vukeli} 1991 should be
the basic phytocoenosis which represents II-E-11 type forest.
