Abstract

Polytrauma is a life-threatening condition that requires a multidisciplinary approach. This casereport presents a 56-year-old patient who was transported to the Emergency department of the Split University Hospital by the Emergency medical service after sustaining injuries in a fall from a bicycle. Anesthesiologists, surgeons, radiologists, transfusion physicians, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other medical personnel were involved in the treatment of this patient. After damage control, further treatment was provided in the intensive care unit of the Department of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care at Split University Hospital.
