Abstract

The paper discusses the results of archaeological excavations conducted in 2013 and 2017 on the south west of Kaštilac in Kaštel Sućurac,
where, the remains of the churches of St Luke (16th century) and St George (17th century) were investigated. The research precisely defined the
position and the plan of the buildings, enabling them to be presented in the paving. Also excavated and presented together with the churches was the western wall of the fortified settlement of the Archbishop’s Castle of 1509, together with the gate giving access into the settlement.
