Abstract

Traffic routes are considered in cartography as objects serving the purposes of traffic. Land traffic takes place on land traffic routes that are divided into roads, railways, telecommunication and power supply lines. Today, due to the growing demand for larger capacity, and to the safety conditions in road traffic, the crossings are built more often at several levels, not only outside of settlements, but also in their centres. Cartographic presentations of such crossings create additional problems to cartographers. The paper offers solutions for presenting multi level road crossings that are significantly different with regard to the scale of cartographic presentation.
