Application of Remote Sensing in Cartography

Abstract

The paper points to the necessity of applying the remote sensing in cartography. It describes the procedures of geocoding the satellite data and states the cartographic demands. There are basic data given in the paper, about the most important satellites and sensors which can be applied in the cartography. It also comes with the descriptions of some foreign researches made on the application of remote sensing in the production and renewal of topographic maps and in the production of photomaps.
