Abstract

Land consolidation in Croatia has been carried out with different degrees of intensity since 1902, when the Croatian Parliament brought the new improved law of land consolidation. The initial task was to reduce large properties to fewer number of parcels. However, considering the needs for intensified urbanization of cities and villages, land consolidation is gradually becoming means for achieving a perfect arrangement of the environment. In order to carry out the land consolidation as rationally as possible, technologies suitable for an automated procedure should be investigated. Particularly significant at that is the property information system whose basic data are used in both directions. Renewal and modernization of real estate records are indispensable for the realization of this plan.
