Abstract

A priori accuracy for a part of the 2nd order triangulation network of Yugoslavia is analyzed. All values of mean errors, which estimate the accuracy, are in accordance with existing regulations, i. e. less than the prescribed maximal errors. However, the investigations showed that the measurements are inhomogeneous. This means that the maximal errors, respectively the so called permitted discrepancies, are not a sufficient criterion for the achieved internal accuracy in the network. Hence, the homogeneity of measurements should be tested prior to the adjustment as well.
