Abstract
The results of the development and design of the original product quality control system using modern technologies and branded equipment are presented in this article. Specifically, it is a transport system for the inspection and identification of objects using optical sensors and industrial cameras that are used for automated quality control. The project included programming of the Sensopart Visor sensor, LMI Gocator 3D scanner and Baumer Veri Sense sensor, programming in the CODESYS environment and programming of the Weintek HMI panel, parameterization of the Servo system ASDA-A2 and establishment of Ethernet and EtherCAT communication protocols between components. The process of creating the project was complex due to the use of different technologies of different brands of equipment. The most common problems were related to communication protocols and the establishment of EtherCAT communication between the Servo controller and the PLC. The end result of the project was a functional system (hardware) and software support (software) for the needs of conducting laboratory exercises from the group of automation courses in the laboratory of the Zagreb University of Applied Science.
