The cross section of the 9Be (6He, 4He) 11Be reaction

Abstract

The energy averaged cross section of the 9Be (6He, 4He) 11Be reaction is measured. The determined value 11 ± 4 mb compared with the theoretically calculated indicates that this reaction proceeds via a direct mechanism.
