Abstract

In this paper, the synchronous motion of two servomotors is explained on the example of the automation of the trolley system for the motion of the vessel model. The mentioned system is similar to the gantry crane system. The trolley system for vessel motion is part of the system of the Center for Laboratory Research in Hydromechanics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding. The entire system consists of a pool, a trolley system for the movement of the vessel and a wave generator system that is not described in this paper. To automate the system, the program code and operator interface were created in Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens peripheral equipment was integrated: PLC series Simatic S7-1511, PC SCADA, frequency converters series Sinamics S210 and servomotors series 1FK2. The operator enters a set of reference values through the operator interface and selects one of the possible operating modes. The operator interface can also monitor the current state of the cart’s position as well as the current value of the cart’s speed, acceleration and deceleration.
