Abstract

Travel management systems are key tools for individuals and organizations to effectively manage travel-related activities, including planning, booking and expense reporting. By streamlining the process of booking flights, hotels, and rental cars, these systems allow travel managers to track and manage travel expenses in real time while executing travel plans and generating reports. The paper presents several research papers that explore the architecture and functionality of existing travel management systems and highlights five systems currently available on the market. Below, the article describes TIPS (Tourist information and processing system), i.e. our new travel management system with advanced features, such as centralized data access and processing using a REST architecture, and the ability to connect to external client applications. By improving access to data and promoting flexibility, this new system can offer a unique advantage to all potential clients looking for effective travel management solutions.
