Abstract

Parkinson’s disease is a chronic, progressive neurodegenerative disease that
affects more than 10 million people worldwide. Motor symptoms are bradykinesia,
tremor of the limbs at rest, stiffness, balance disorder, gait disorder and
freezing of gait. Treatment is symptomatic. Along with pharmacological and
surgical treatment, an important part of reducing the symptoms is rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation consists of physical therapy based on medical exercises,
occupational therapy and speech therapy.
